In the heart of the stunning terraced mountains of Yunan Province the Manjingkang Resort Development will become a major tourist and cultural destination. The design celebrates water in deference to the “Water Splashing Festival” that is a major cultural celebration that takes place in the region each spring. Water becomes the major organizing principle of the plan which includes a stream fed lake and a large water plaza designed to hold large scale events.
